the short version

Hi, I’m the person behind shrine404. You can call me Faust but I also go by some other names. Pronouns are she/he. This site exists because I wanted somewhere slower and more lasting than social media; a place to keep my studies, writings, experiments, and the pieces of practice that feel worth preserving. I like archives, fragments, and things made with care, so this became a kind of digital shrine for all of that.

what i practice and study

My path is shaped by folk practice, grimoire traditions, Hermetic and Platonic thought, and a perennial sense that all things unfold from a single divine source. I believe magic works through relationship, correspondence, and the movement between microcosm and macrocosm. Most of what I study circles around devotion, planets, spirits, symbols, tools, and the ways ritual lets us participate more fully in the world.
I tend to approach magic seriously but not an annoying way. Research matters to me. So does lived experience. I believe a spell is a small pattern made to touch a larger one, and that ritual changes both the inner and outer world at once.
